Ozawa has a good reputation in Vienna. In general his performances there
have gone down well with the critics (the same, incidentally, applies in
Munich). Which is not to say that he's home free. Notoriously, part of
the Vienna Lebenstil is the BIG Cultural Flap (mit Schlag!). This applies
to all of the performing arts, but foremost, perhaps, to the opera. S.
Ozawa, I warrant you, will not be spared. The question is, whether he'll
manage to overcome, to prevail....
