"Renee Montagne talks to the author of a new biography of Mozart's
librettist -- or in plainer English, the guy who wrote the lyrics
to Mozart's operas. Lorenzo Da Ponte was born a Jew, became a
Catholic priest and competed with his friend Casanova for the
title of biggest seducer in Venice. He was exiled to Vienna,
where he charmed his way into the role of chief poet for the
Court opera."
