I recently bought 2 Tintner Bruckners on Naxos.  Besides the excellent
performance, I agree that the recording and sound on The CDs were
excellent.

For a unique performance of Bruckner's 8th, try the Horenstein LSO
(BBC).  I don't have the Tintner 8th (1st version) but have the Inbal.
I definitely prefer the standard later versions of the 8th.
