Ah, I haven't said anything and have been just reading, but that one is
my own favorite way beyond the other ones she did (for my taste) because
although I just have never really liked this work much, she finds all kinds
of beauties in it I'd never heard before.  And, above all, it's almost a
chamber-music like performance, with fire.  She and Abbado play as if they
were two instruments playing to each other and the statement- response
sections are just beautifully done.  Real communication instead of soloist
and orchestra...

For any of you who got tired of this piece a long time ago, I highly
recommend it unless you are drawn primarily to musicians who keep a steady
equalized rhythm above all.  There is a lot of rubato in this, though
they're of one mind in it.  Beautiful performance.

In the car I played it for a friend who does not particularly enjoy
Argerich, but when I wouldn't say who it was and intimated it might be
someone new, the response was "Who is it?? How can anyone play like this?
Listen to that.  Omigod.  Incredible lightness, " which is true, in the
midst of the flurry of notes.  Never just notes either.
