Deryk Barker queried the dates of the NPO taking back their original name.

It seems more recent than that!  Was it really 1977? If that is so, then
Legge himself was involved in selling the original name to the NPO.

I think, at this time, EMI also bought out Legge's royalty rights in
the Philharmonia recordings.  These two events might indeed have had
a financial link?!  It would make sense wouldn't it?  ....  but,
believe me, I'm just guessing.
