Although my primary preference is for the AoF on harpsichord by Leonhardt,
Moroney, or Gilbert, I feel there's much reward in interpretations on
other instruments and grouping of instruments.  It just depends on the
performance, and I love Savall's AoF.  His use of brass creates a fantastic
listening experience.
