I'm a bit confused.  Arte Nova didn't decide that this store would have
eight copies; the store management made that decision, or if the store is
a chain, some regional or centralized source made the decision.

When I worked for a chain part-time, we would get from the "parent"
many copies of cd's that had little selling potential.  These cd's were
generally "garbage." At least in Joel's example, we have a worthy recording
that won't sell many copies.
