Sylvia Wolfe asks:

>Is there anybody out there who really likes serial music, and if so, can
>you put your finger on what it is that appeals? Just curious.

Well, that's like asking whether I like tonal music or choral music or
music by composers who wear glassses. Some I do and some I don't. I don't
like or dislike a piece because it's serial or because it's not. So I
can't "finger on what it is that appeals". If you want to experience some
serial music that is defnintely not scary, try any of the symphonies of
Humphry Searles.
