David Lamb asks:

>It is a great idea to have an "Events" page. Now how does one post an
>event?

Good question. As of now, I have a link on the page to "Submit a press
release!" that should cause an email message to be generated. Or you
can send it directly to:

I'm glad David asked about this because I had intended to extend an
invitation to all list members to promote their activities as well.

That would probably be best. I should put together a set of submission
guidelines (in my copious free time), but in general a press release
format works well. It should, obviously, be brief, with a link to the
full announcement or additional info. An image or logo is also a good
thing, and these images should be provided web-ready (i.e., sized
appropriately). I can accept press releases in a variety of formats.
Please con6tact me if you have any questions.

The number of press releases generated every day, even in the specialized
world of classical music, can be overwhelming, so I obviously won't be
able to post everything that might come my way. Announcements of more
general interest and offers of special pricing, discounts, etc., for
events will take precedence.
