Don Satz asks:

>is it possible to be surprised, consider the music inevitable, and
actually hate the music?

I'm inclined to say yes, but I can't thing of a real example. The
music that I don't care for because I can't make any sense out of it
may surprise me, but I can't see it as inevitable. And those pieces
that I don't like because they bore me, are unsurprising but much too
"inevitable".

I can't say that there's any music that I "hate", just music that I'd
rather avoid.
