2003 Jordania International Conducting Competition Announces Contestants

The Vakhtang Jordania International Conducting Competition has announced
its list of participants for the 2003 competition, which will take place
between September 1 and 8 in Kharkov, Ukraine with the Kharkov Philharmonic
Symphony Orchestra.

These are the 25 contestants selected from the international field of
almost 75 applicants for the third annual Vakhtang Jordania International
Conducting Competition:

The competition will consist of three rounds in which contestants will
be asked to rehearse and present selections from major repertoire works

This year's Jordania Grand Prize will consists of concerts in Ukraine,
Russia, Austria, Bolivia and South Korea.
