For those among us who can read French, this month's 'La Scena Musicale'
magazine includes an interview with Jean-Paul Sevilla (by my friend Gabor
Csepregi; see http://www.scena.org/pdf-files/sm10-10.pdf, pp 12-13).
Aside from having taught Angela Hewitt, Sevilla makes some interesting
remarks supporting the soloist's need to be faithful to the composer's
indications, and on the nature of that duty.

A sidebar to the article lists Hewitt's performance schedule, including
in July at the Trasimeno Music Festival in Umbria, southern Tuscany.
Her busy schedule over that week included playing solo (Bach), with
orchestra (Ravel) and in piano quintets (Shostakovitch). It's apparently
the realization of her dream to launch her own music festival.
