Great and timely question about music for weddings. I was about to
submit something along the same lines, on behalf of a good friend who is
getting married in a Catholic Church on September 9. He and his fiancee
are footing the bill. He wanted to know what sort of interesting wedding
music (of a liturgical nature mostly) is out there, especially for organ
and/or piano. "I'm tired of Pachabel," he said. "And Mendelssohn is done
to death." He and his bride want to avoid the old standards, if at all
possible.

Any suggestions? I will be following answers to Mr. Bayles' inquiry as
well, even though, given my friend's budget constraints, chamber music
would seem to be out of the question.
