The performance he conducted of the finale to Mahler 3 at the Carnegie Hall
centenary concert (Lennie was scheduled but had the bad grace to die first)
was absolutely dire.  Dull is not the word.

His Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique and Mahler 4 (both early Decca
digitals) are bland to the point of invisibility.
