Just watched a repeat of the John Adams concert from the Barbican on TV
last night -- incl a magnificent performance of his violin concerto by
Leila Josefowicz. I had heard some of her playing and heard a lot about
her but this is the first time I have seen her perform. I think I have not
seen anyone to match her intensity in recent memory -- not even Mullova, I
think. I was absolutely knocked sideways by the performance of a concerto
she is increasingly making her own, by all accounts -- I look forward to
listening to her grow in stature over the years.

Do Listers have any preferred recordings of Josefowicz they might
recommend?
