Babbitt's musical, "Babes on Broadway," was actually called FABULOUS VOYAGE
and it flopped in 1946.  (For the record, Steve Schwartz made up the first
title.)

For the speculative-minded, if it had been a big hit, would the High
Fidelity editors still have had occasion to entitle a Babbitt article,
"Who Cares if You Listen?" And is the fact above the true protohistory
of the ivory tower retreat represented by the article.  :-)
