It's a great feeling to discover a composer you like who has little
reputation. Sometimes, I discover a "loser", but those winners make
it all very rewarding.

I have somewhere in my house a cd or a 2-cd set on Virgin of a Naumann
opera or opera-like work - can't remember the name of the composition.
I thought it was a fine work, but the fact that I have no idea where it
is probably indicates something (maybe more about me than the work).

Bob was so enthusiastic about the Ars Musici recording that I just placed
it in my "wish list" courtesy of CD NOW. Unfortunately, this wish list now
numbers about 300 items. I don't like to order more than 2 or 3 discs at
a time, so when I go in there to make selections, it's a difficult road to
traverse.

As an aside, I'd like to welcome Mr. Bob Draper to the list. All of a
sudden, everywhere I look I see Bob Draper postings. At this rate, Bob
will break post frequency records in short order. Does Dave hand out
prizes for record breaking? Maybe an all expenses paid trip to Pikeville,
Kentucky.
