Patrik Enander asks for some really good Naxos CDs which hold their own
with full-price CDs.

I am particularly fond of the Szymanowski violin concertos No.1 and No.2
as played by someone named Kulka with the Polish State Radio Orchestra
of Katowice conducted by Karoly Strjya. And if you like Szymanowski the
earlier release by the same conductor and orchestra of orchestral songs,
including the gorgeous 'Songs of a Fairy Tale Princess' is well worth
having. There are four song cycles on that release, by as many singers.

There's a very new release of piano music by Einojuhani Rautavaara which
I have not yet heard but which I am told is wonderful.
