Featuring Jon DEAK's extraordinary musical setting of 'A
Christmas Carol' - " THE PASSION OF SCROOGE" for Baritone
and mixed ensemble. This much acclaimed work is dramatic,
funny, spooky and suitable for all ages.. Special guests
include Baritone- Aaron Engebreth and conductor, Chris Kim.
The performances in Newport take place at the historic Belcourt
Castle, in the magnificent french gothic ballroom. Also note
the chamber music program at 8pm each night which includes
Jon Deak's "Lady Chatterley's Dream" a musical narration of
text from Lady Chatterleys' Lover.

Firebird Ensemble is excited to announce its recent award
from the St.Botolph Foundation to commission a work from
Boston composer, Lee Hyla.
Following a successful and rewarding residency at the New
England Conservatory of Music (jointly sponsored by the Boston
Microtonal Society) Firebird now prepares for the festive
season.
