Probably Lili Boulanger, Nadia's sister (although Nadia composed as
well).

She's more early Modern, at least the pieces you mention.  Some of it
anticipates Honegger's oratorio style.  I reviewed a CD of her work, and
I believe it's still at www.classical.net.
