Dear List, I was wondering if anybody knows whether ensembles who name
themselves after people (deceased or living) need to purchase naming
rights from descendants of the people they're named after. Names like
the Shostakovich String Quartet, Emerson etc. come into mind...oh, and as
an aside, the Shostakovich Quartet is playing a concert here in Sydney,
Australia on Thursday 16 November.

Regards,

Clement
