If you want warmth, try the Faure op.  15 Quartet for piano and strings.
Brahms comes to mind here.  It lights MY fire!  Great fun to play, too.

My current favorite performance is the Sony Classical SK 48066 with Ax,
Stern, Laredo and Ma.  Faure great time, try to find this cd.

I do not especially care for the old one with Long, et al., even though
it has been highly praised.  Too dreary for my taste.
