Or maybe a suite dedicated to famous scientists and/or astronomers--
Galileo, Newton, Copernicus, Hawking, etc.  -----

Hovhaness has written a Saturn song cycle & Australian composer Eric Gross
a Moonscape.  There's also a Copernican symphony (S2; aka the symphony that
time forgot) by Gorecki; while Penderecki's Kosmogonia built scientific
texts by Copernicus & others into his early ECW compositional style.

UK astronomer & broadcaster Patrick Moore (a fair to good amateur composer
in his own right) was associated with a theme compilation called The New
Planets which linked various moons, etc to musical compositions; but i
never saw a copy of it here in Australia)
