Popped into Borders the other day with a few extra dollars. Came out
with:

1. Alberic Magnard's Symphony # 3 & 4
2. Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass
3. Britten's Symphonic Suite from Glorianna (including Four Sea
Interludes and Passacaglia)

The Magnard 4th is a noble work that is deserving of a wider currency. In
several ways, it reminds me of Bruckner (especially the 7th) and Franck.
Does this connection have any validity?
