Well, yes, but these are the same folk who steadfastly referred to the
science of chemistry as "the French science" for a good three generations
after the Germans predominated in the field!

But I cannot honestly gainsay M.  Fodor's point.  The following URL
describes Honneger thusly:

   Swiss by nationality, Arthur Honegger was born and died in France,
   and was for a time associated with the group of Paris composers known
   as Les Six"
