Bob Kasenchak asks about string arrangements of the Bach Goldberg Variations.

>Does anyone know of such an arrangement? Does anyone know the arranger?
>Does anyone like/reccomend a(ny) chamber arrangement of the Goldbergs?

The violinist Dimitri Sitkovetsky made both a string trio and string
orchestra arrangement of the Goldbergs and has recorded both. They're both
quite nicely done and recorded. And for what it's worth the organist Jean
Guillou made an organ arrangement and recorded it on Dorian. It is passing
strange, but then Guillou's playing always is.
