Meira Warshauer's "Spirals of Light" To Be Performed At the Jewish
Museum of Florida - Pianist Harold Lewin To Lead Trio of Performers

Meira Warshauer's "Spirals of Light" for flute, cello and piano will be
performed on Monday, March 7th - 7:30 p.m at the Jewish Museum of Florida,
301 Washington Avenue in Miami Beach. This concert will feature music
by Southern Jewish composers and will be performed by an ensemble including
pianist Harold Lewin, flutist Elissa Lakofsky and cellist Javier Arias.
The composer will be at the concert to speak about her music.

"Spirals of Light" for flute, cello and piano was written in 1996 on a
commission from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina, where it
was also premiered. This 18-minute work is in three sections - 1. Slow
whirl into stillness, which invites the listener into the sacred center,
swirling and spiraling into stillness, 2. Inner resonance merges with
the mystery of the Infinite and 3. Dancing Light awakens joyous energy
flowing into the world. The piece has been recorded for the Kol Meira
label.

Tickets for this concert are $15, with discounts for Museum members.
