Please pass along the following information to anyone you know who might
be interested in attending:

    * Are you a singer or instrumentalist who is losing your hearing?

    * Are you an amateur music lover with a hearing loss or losing
    your hearing and need to learn about technology to continue to
    hear and enjoy music?

If the answers to any of the questions is YES, then we have a
wonderful opportunity for you!

The Association of Adult Musicians with Hearing Loss (AAMHL) will
hold our first music conference and music festival June 19 - 20, 2007
at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. There will be a music
recital, several workshops on topics such as whether current hearing
technology is adequate for music listening and music performance; whether
it is possible to learn to sing (or continue singing) if you have a
hearing loss. We plan to offer other fun and exciting activities, a
drum circle, a handbells workshop, a music recital, and an open mic
session. Assistive listening devices and real-time captioning will be
provided at this conference.

AAMHL was formed with the purpose of:

    * creating opportunities for adult musicians with hearing loss to
discuss the challenges they face in making and listening to music;
    * creating opportunities for public performance either
individually or in groups by adult musicians with hearing loss who
might not otherwise have access to these opportunities;
    * providing ongoing feedback to hearing health professionals,
hearing researchers, manufacturers of hearing assistive technology,
music educators and others to improve hearing device technology
relative to music performance and enjoyment; and
    * providing educational opportunities to enable hard of hearing
and deaf adults to appreciate and make music in ways not previously
available.

Please visit our web site (http://www.aamhl.org/conference) for more
information on this Conference and Music Festival. Registration information
will be available soon!

See you at the AAMHL Music Conference and Music Festival in June!
