Popular among whom? Among the general public, which knows nothing about
classical music? They think he's great.  Among genuine classical- music
aficionados?  "Second-rate" is being generous.  I will give credit to those
who handle him, though.  They are masters of hype to have created such a
sensation over such a meagre pianist.
