a prodigious 23 year old with an astonishing electricity and fluidity
in his playing.  the most famous disqualified piano competition entrant
of our time.

twenty five years later, ivo pogorelich still manages to create quite a
stir.

that said, i wonder if it's not now for more unfortunately lamentable
reasons.

though his wife (and former teacher) passed away some time ago, and
though he allegedly cancelled his 2006 appearances for health reasons
back in july, i still have to ask whether i'm the only one who believes
mr.  pogorelich is desperately trying to sabotage the remnants of his
career...
