A little bit of supplement.

I reviewed this recording for ARG in Sep/Oct 2007.  There I mentioned
another recording of the opera on CPO.  I prefer the Naive on all levels
except one: the CPO is closer to complete; the Naive cuts about 20
minutes.  Even so, the cuts are not fatal, and the Naive remains a clear
preference.

Those intrigued by Stephen should check out the new recording of his
orchestral music on Chandos.  I reviewed it in Mar/Apr 2006.  I liked
it very much and generally preferred those performances to the older
German ones I know.
