I mainly do LPs, but can recommend two used CD stores worth the trip:
Music & Video Exchange at Notting Hill Gate (there are several MVE shops,
you want the Classical one, furthest east at 36 Notting Hill Gate, north
side) and the legendary Gramex, 25 Lower Marsh Rd, behind Waterloo Station.
Both these shops have better CD stock than Harold Moores (who you should
visit anyway if only to gawp at the LP prices).

A 20 min train ride south from Charing Cross to Eltham will get you to
Bargain Classical Records in The Arcade (left out of the station, up
Well Hall Rd, left on the High St, down a ways on the right with a big
Sainsbury's behind it). Haven't been in a couple of years -- LP stock
getting thin -- but lots of used CDs.
