For those of you who have the possibility, Musica Rara is performing in
the historical Basilica of S. Ambrogio of Milan (just a few steps from
the church of S. Francesco where the original performance took place when
Bach jn. was studying in Milan, protected by the Litta family) the first
modern performance of the complete Beatus Vir, Tantum ergo and Domine ad
adjuvandum, possible after the restitution of the original manuscripts in
1998 by the armenian authoroties. The concert will take place on the 22nd
of November, at 21.00.

Life work of J.C. Bach's most passionate advocate, after illustrious
predecessors like Alfred Einstein and Willem Mengelberg, ex BBC director
and musicologist Ernest Warburton, who collaborated with Musica Rara until
his untimely death in August 2001. He edited the only complete edition of
J.C. Bach's works for Garland, an impressive 48 volume library!
