Dear CM fans, A few months back, the Gramophone publication International
Piano Quarterly surveyed the many recordings of Balakirev's super-virtuoso
piano piece Islamey, Oriental Fantasy.  Does anyone know which recordings
were selected? For the record, Berezovsky's recording on Teldec gets a
rosette in the Penguin Guide and I've heard good things elsewhere about
the recordings of Julius Katchen and Simon Barere.  Any replies greatly
appreciated.:-)
