Coming up next: WMV at BannerArts Studio, Saturday night November 16 at 7:30
pm, 4233C Howard Ave, Kensington MD.

Program: Tenor Scott Williamson and pianist Carl Banner will perform Robert
Schumann's Dichterliebe. The sweetness of Schumann's music is a startling
contrast to Heinrich Heine's bitter love poetry. Tenor, conductor, poet, and
master musician Scott Williamson will knock your socks off!

Also on the program: three brief, intense Emily Dickinson songs by Terry
Vosbein; Joy and Leslie, two brand new jazz-based works for piano by Blair
Goins; and one of Brahms' late piano works, the delicious A major Intermezzo
Op. 118#2.

This month's poet: Hiram Larew. Hiram's poetry is widely published and has
won many prizes. He has organized numerous poetry events in this region,
especially highlighting the diversity of poetic talent in PG County. His
doctorate is in entomology, and he directs the Office of International
Programs within the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He is very tall.

The BannerArts studio performances are the most informal of our events.
There are no reservations; admission is $12 at the door. For more information
