Washington Musica Viva presents the 13th concert in the ongoing "Czech
Music Series" at The Embassy of the Czech Republic, Washington DC, Tuesday
June 11 at 7:30 pm.

The program includes three magnificent compositions for string quartet
and piano:

* Bohuslav Martinu's powerful wartime Piano Quintet #2 (1944).

* Hanus Barton's lyrical "Metamorphoses on a Theme of Bohuslav Martinu,"
(in honor of the 100th anniversary of Martinu's birth).

* Antonin Dvorak's great Piano Quintet in A, one of the most beloved
works in the entire chamber music literature.

Performing:  Lina Bahn & Sasha Margolis, violins, Mahoko Eguchi, viola,
Lori Barnet, cello, and Carl Banner, piano.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic is at 3900 Spring of Freedom St (formerly
Linnean St.) NW, off Tilden St, east of Connecticut Ave.  Reservations are
