I like Stockhausen's "Kontakte" very much.  It's early synthesizer music
which IMHO is riveting from beginning to end.  There is a recording
available with percussion, (fine by me), and an earlier recording without.
Your choice.

It's hard for me to believe anyone would have a problem with this piece.
