AMERICAN ACCENT PRESENTS DEBUT CONCERT FEATURING WORKS BY MAJOR AMERICAN
COMPOSERS ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15

American Accent will present its debut concert on Wednesday, November 15,
2000 - 8 PM at Merkin Hall at the Abraham Goodman House, 129 W. 67th St
in Manhattan.

Music to be performed will include John Harbison's Fantasy Duo for
violin and piano, George Perle's Monody No. 1 for Solo Flute, Judith Lang
Zaimont's Zones - Piano Trio No. 2, Sofia Gubaidulina's Klange des Waldes
and Allegro Rustico, both for flute and piano and Ned Rorem's Bright Music
for flute, 2 violins, cello and piano.

Performers for this concert will be American Accent's core ensemble -
pianist Joanne Polk, flutist Linda Chesis and the Lark Quartet.

George Perle, Judith Lang Zaimont and Ned Rorem are scheduled to attend the
concert and speak about their works.  The concert will be introduced by The
American Music Center's Frank Oteri, editor of their on-line New Music Box
web-magazine.
