Bob Yoon asked for recommendations for Bruckner's 7th and 8th.

On a recommendation from someone on the List, I recently picked up
Tintner's on Naxos which is the 1887 Nowak version and significantly
different from the better-known version to the extent that in many ways
it's a different - and longer - symphony. I was particularly taken with
the brass playing. You also get the #0 filling out the second CD. If
you feel disposed towards springing for two 8ths, Bob, go for it.

I must check out Deryk Barker's old posts on the Bruckner symphonies to see
which original version I should try next.
