I have both:  the 1st with Szell and the 2nd with Boult.  I'm not sure I'd
entirely go along with your "by the time he recorded them":  Schnabel never
had the technique of a Richter or Horowitz.  The 1st is, IMHO, the less
successful - he simply isn't the right kind of pianist for it.

The 2nd, OTOH, I enjoy greatly - although this was the first recording
of the work I ever owned, so....
