My own, subjective perspective:

Erich Kleiber for 3 and 5 and probably Furtwangler for the rest.  There
are other significant recordings like the Toscanini and Koussevitzky.
If you are looking for something of recent vintage, I would be at a loss
as to know what to suggest.

It would seem to me that one has to answer some basic questions...are
you looking for great sound...historically informed...spiritually
moving...profound...etc.
