To support my gushing about the SF Conservatory student orchestra's
inaugural performance in their Oak Street concert hall last weekend
(http://www.sfcv.org/arts_revs/sfcm_12_12_06.php) - I have obtained
evidence thereto from that opening concert. Take a listen at
http://www.operas-are.us/sfcm.mp3. The conductor is Alasdair Neale.
You can hear how well the kids played, but as for the hall's acoustic,
these microphones jammed on top of the orchestra don't give an indication
of how good the hall is when you are sitting more than a foot away from
the timpani.
