A propos of the Beethoven 9th, does its text actually mention peace?
I know that it does mention joy and brotherhood, and that Bernstein's
fall-of-the-Wall contrefactum brings in freedom ("Freiheit"), but is peace
("Frieden"?) actually mentioned there? I can't put my hand on any of my
copies of the text at the moment.
