Bob, As you say, the J.G. Naumann recording to which you refer on the ARS
MUSICI label is a splendid work.

The other Naumann recording to which Don Satz referred is the "lyric
tragedy":

"Gustaf Wasa"
numerous soloists
Orchestra and Chorus of the Royal Swedish Opera
Director: Philip Brunelle
Virgin Classics - 5 45148 1 (2 CDs)

This recording is not available in US stores. It's not available on-line at
CDNOW or H&B Recordings Direct either. However, it is available from one or
more European on-line stores, such as CD Teleshop
(http://www.cdteleshop.com/) and German Music Express
(http://www.musicexpress.com/)

Another recording includes some arias by Naumman:

"Gustavian Opera" -- Works by Uttini, Haeffner, Naumann
soloists: Martinpelto, Hoffstedt (sop), Dahlberg (tnr), Wahlgren (bar).
Schuback/Drottingholm Baroq. Ens.
Musica Sveciae - MSV-426

This is available on-line from H&B Recordings Direct
(http://www.hbdirect.com/)
