He's been the Berlin Philharmonic's principal for several years now
 [Galway's chair several occupants removed], has made recordings of the
standard solo repertoire, and is the cover artist [interview within] of
the most recent issue of "Fanfare".

I think he's a known quantity, and a most admirable artist.
