I must say that written music has not been around long enough for the
term "ever" to apply. Compare this to literature where we have the Greek
classics. The cultural and fashion changes over the short period written
music has been around make too much noise over the unvarying humanity
of the human condition expressed by music.

It would be better to address the greatest composer of a musical style
rather than argue whether Mozart or Stravinsky or Tchaikovsky is greater.
Come back to the original argument 500 years from now, please!
