Don't know about this.  I enjoy Janis on Mercury.

Fast, way too fast for my taste.

Stravinsky's own version with Columbia on CBS is the best version I have.
The recording was made back in the early stereo days, and the sound
is decent for its age.  Given the impression that Don is a big fan of
Telarc sound, I have to tell you that Maazel's on Telarc (coupled with
Shostakovich 5th) has terrible sound.  The recording engineer must have
borrowed ears from the dead Karajan when he fiddled with the bass.
