It is obvious to me that the Bernstein mantle has been passed to MTT.  In
my mind he was always the "heir apparent." Now as long as he doesn't smoke
like a chimney and takes life a bit easier, we may have him around long
enough to be, a "grand old man of the podium." As for a Symphonic Andrew
Lloyd Webber, I always thought be bared a more striking resemblance to
Barry Manilow.
