I beg to differ!  In my opinion, Turandot is Puccini's operatic
masterpiece.  It has a different sound to it and a more unique quality
than the dozens of other operas I have listened to.  I suppose if you like
Mozart or more "classical" operas, you won't like it as much.  I wouldn't
put it "a few notches lower" next to anything!
