A slightly different perspective, but an optimistic one, on classical
music being used in commercials: it reveals the conviction of the
advertisers that this music will "speak" to those who hear it. In their
studied judgement, this is music that can "move" people. I take that as
encouraging. The challenge is to find other (unthreatening) ways to get
the music in front of people. In other words, "play it and they will
come."
